Offline | Cooper PL exhaust advice...help! I am after some advice on exhausts for a 06 mini cooper park lane. please help! Firstly, will exhauts for a cooper/one fit all years of mini coopers or did monutings etc change at any point? This is something that worries me as BMW made a few minor changes to the cars over the years. Secondly, which exhausts are best? I would like a pretty loud one but dont want it to drone too loudly at motorway speeds (around 4-5k rpm). I was thinking of a miltek, mongoose or scorpion stainless steel cat back system, has anyone fitted these? I never intended to fit a bigger exhaust system to the car, espescially as its so new, but i miss the sound of my old rover coupe too much Cheers, Chris. |

Offline | Depends how much you are willing to spend but I have the JCW sound kit. The exhaust has a good sound, but isn't annoying on the motorway. Also the noise the air filter makes a top revs is amazing ![]() |

Offline | I've seen a cooper with a JCW sound kit on. I thought it was nice but a little pricey. £300 is budget for a new system, but would prefer not to spend that much. oh, andmagnex was the other make I considered. cheers |

Offline | I'm toying with the idea of a militek cat back for my PL. Also i think the Pipercross viper is going on. Thing is, i want a nice purrrrr from the engine, nothing too loud. I took a test drive in a Cooper with a sound kit on whilst i really liked it and almost purchased, i found myself thinking back and not remembering the sound quality. I really need to hear a sound clip of the Cooper with a viper and militek exhaust. and just a viper before i can make my mind up |

Offline | I have a Cooper with a Viper kit and full PlayMini exhaust system. This combo sounds amazing, deep and grumbly. It is loud when you want it to be but is quite at other times. It is not at all intrusive when you are cruising either. Check out my gallery and other threads for more info ![]() |

Offline | sooper one with miltek exhaust Hi, I have a mini one with a miltek exhaust (catback), and while there's a slight improvement in breathing, the best change is the lovely sound on startup and running. The exhaust has a subtle rumbling noise and really gives the car some character! The chrome exhaust tip fits well where the standard exhaust ends, but is about 1.5 -2 times the size! It looks and sounds great and I'd recommend it! Good hunting! |

Offline | Well, popped in to Lohen on friday. Nick and André were very welcoming and showed me round the place. Had a good chat with André about a few things, and the exhaust was one. They showed me the Militek on their Mini One, and it is awesome. It was louder than i expected, but then their One has had alot of mods done which when put together increase the volume. Their One is seriously impressive, Nick took me out for a spin and it blew me away. Sound, power and grip where fantastic. I'm defo getting the Militek now rather than the JCW, probably sooner than i was planning too i was that impressed ![]() |
