Hey,

Someone had a posting on how to activate the side parking light. They said that you should take the key out of the ignition and move the turn signal to the direction of the parking light I want turned on. I tried it on my car, and it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know if this is a feature that is available here in the US at all?

Also, have you tried opening your sunroof after it rained? Unless you're the type that likes to get water dripping on their head and back, it's not fun. Otherwise, this car was the best decision I made...well one of them.

This feature works on my UK spec Cooper fine. Just a thought, but do you have the headlights turned on when you enable the indecator, I have to have them on for this function to work on mine.

Hey,
thanks for your response. Silly me, it actually did work when I tried it, but I think I was too excited, and I tried when the sun was shining right onto the light, so I couldn't see it. When I came to my car later on that day, I noticed that it did work, so I am all set. And to answer your question, I do not have to have my headlights turned on. Just take the keys out of the ignition and turn the indicator to the side you want lit, and the rest is history. Thanks anyhow.

If you have the headlight switch on, I think both sides are illuminated.

Can anyone tell me if there is an cockpit warning lamp that indicates that the single side P lamps are activated ?

no that i've seen. although if you turn it onto ignition 1 the indicators will go
