| MINI2 Regular | auto or manual rights clocks ticking and i need to start making some big decisions as to what gearbox im gonna go for when looking to buy my first mini cooper in september i drive a manual van all day for my job and to behonest was gonna go for an auto for my personal use car as quite simply i want an easy drive on the weekend lol now ive drove my dads mcs jcw auto a fair few times and i love it to bits buttt!!!! when looking a mini cooper prices its amazing how cheap i can get a maual cooper compared to the prices of some of the autos out there plus theres a much larger range of manual minis compared to the range of auto that are floating around at the moment im confused now because i really want an auto but im alittle dishearted at the choice i have availble compared to the manuals plus the extra cash i save on the manual compared to the autos could be spent on getting an aero kit alot quicker than having to wait and save up more money should i go for the auto arghhhhhh sooo hard so basically what im asking is what would YOU DO???????? cheaper manual and get an aero kit quicker?? or get an auto which is what i kinda want and just save for the aero kit?? cheers neil |

Offline | you wanna be 100% pleased with your choice as your forking out a lot of money...if you would like an auto then i would say get one..still fun and nippy etc...also its not the be all and end all not to get the aero kit right away...get one eventually...come to think of it ...its actually quite nice to get the mini auto and then say 5-6 months down the line get the aero kit fitted...it will seem as if youve bought a new car and give you another thing to simile about ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | i wouldnt buy a mini if it was automatic, id rather have no car at all plus theauto box costs like £1,084 brand new, and the manual is 30-40% more fuel efficient you could probly buy a manual and save fuel money and still be able to afford the aerokit |
