Hello all

I'm going to be getting a Mini Cooper soon. Or, pretty sure I am. Not a Cooper S. Just a cooper.
But I'm hoping to fix it up a lil' bit.

What I will most likely be getting:
Mini Cooper, probably an 02 or 03 model. Definitely used.
manual tranny
no clue what body color.

Here is what I am looking to mod first and foremost. As I have the car more, I will make more mods, but these ones are my most desired:

Visual Upgrades

-Wheels, Rims, etc. Nothing dubby. 18's I was thinking. If i wanted to go big I could get 19's but that wouldn't help with maneuverability very much. They would be black most likely. i like black rims. =]

-Lowering Springs. Again, nothing crazy like 4 inches. Maybe an inch or two in the front and back.

-Body kit. Maybe the OEM or JCW aero factory kit. Whichever is which. If I wanted to go cheap I might just get the aero grill parts that are black for the bonnett and bumper.

Performance upgrades

-Big brake kit. or getting all individually.
brembo, stoptech, stillen, AP racing. I could care less who makes it. I was thinking 4 pistons in the front. And does anyone different? Say 6 piston front 4 in rear? Or 4 piston front 4 piston back? And does anyone do something like an evo, wrx sti setup with performance 2 piston calipers in the back? or do most people get a big brake upgrade for the front and leave the rear stock? I don't care about slotted, drilled, both, or neither. I can go any way. I could keep stock rotors, or would i need bigger rotors but still regular? I need some actual product references here.

-not sure what else. these might be secondary, not first choice options i can get over time. What would be recommended? short throw shifter? tranny upgrades? engine upgrades? suspension?

-Oh, almost forgot. Exhaust. Mm. Nothing ricey, thank you. Borla maybe? Remember this would be for a mini cooper with the regular exhaust exit to the right on the rear bumper. Not the center dual on the cooper s. Something that sounds, mm.. nothing blast cannoney. You know. The exhaust/tips kids put on their honda civics. Does an exhaust tip enhance sound or is it just for looks? I could go for that if I, again, cannot afford a full exhaust upgrade. I was looking for something that sounds.. mm.. Maybe it all sounds the same. Nothing too loud but something that adds a little rumble, deep and throaty. I wouldn't mind it being a little exotic sounding. You know. Trying to make my future beautiful mini NOT turn into a rice burner.

That would be sort of up there in important. This is sort of intended to be more of a "look at me" mini than a "look at me pass you" mini.

Thanks, all.
Also, anyone live in tennessee? I'm having a hard time finding performance, auto parts, and customized shops around here. All it is here is repair, repair, repair. Even if you don't. Sites would help a lot. mini sites, any sites. And just plain olf help on what I want here.

Hi welcome!

There is only the dealer fit Aero kit for the 02-03 Cooper. No factory fit option. Factory fit option is only available on the 07+ Cooper. Just giving that bit of info.
