05 Cooper recalls???

I have an 2005 cooper that has been overheating and the coolant needs refilling at least once a month. My dad / mechanic has said that the problem is the water pump and that someone said that Mini were recalling 05 models for this problem. Anyone know if they are recalling 05 models for faulty water pumps???

My 05 Cooper went through alot of collant after 10k miles, that would explain it. Don't have it anymore

we have a 56 plate that started to drink coolant, BMW said it was the thermostat housing which had cracked and was replaced under warranty thankfully . they did say that continued use without a repair could result in damaging the engine so i'd get it looked at pronto tbh Jenny
