Offline | What can i get for £6,000? I currently drive a Bora TDi which is really beginning to bore me. I do the odd 400 mile round trip to see my girlfriend and the car is great for that but around town it is no fun what so ever to drive. I'm starting to look at mini's and was wondering what sort of spec'd cooper could i get for around £6,000? Any help appreciated Thanks |

| Mini Madness | Welcome to Mini2! I'd expect that with some careful hunting you should be able to find an early (Y-52 reg) Cooper with Chili pack and around 70000 miles for your budget. Be aware that air conditioning was not a standard part of the chili pack so most of the cheaper Coopers you find will not have it. You will probably also find some really tired and tatty examples as well but take your time with the search and a good example should come up before too long. The Mini2 classifieds are a good place to start to find a cherished car, as is Pistonheads. You'll probably miss the MPG of your Bora but at least the journey will be more fun with a Mini. Good luck with the search! Chris ![]() 2007 Clubman Cooper D ~ 2004 Cooper S JCW Last edited by M111 CGC : Apr 27th, 2008 at 12:12 PM. Reason: additional comments added |

Online | Take a look at our little project here.... http://www.mini2.com/forum/general-d...i-project.html We picked up a nice little Cooper for £6k, and she's currently undergoing some fun but inexpensive mods before going to her new owner ![]() |

Offline | I bought my MC 4 months ago- its a 51 plate with 23500 Miles and it cost me £7000. The fuel comsumption is more than my previous car (1.4Fiesta) but its so much fun I dont think I'll ever go back to driving anything else! Maybe look at an MO Diesel? |

| Just press and go! | hey i purchased my 2002 pure silver n black mini cooper in January with 85000 miles for 5995 from a local dealer, at the time i purchased it i owned a 2006 suzuki swift and got offered 5500 for it, and because of that he never budged on the price! my MINI has everything, climate control chilli pack chrome line interior, 17" S spokes the lot!, and TBH i think it was a great price for the money! at first when i got it i was a bit worried with getting a car with such high mileage, but ive got a warranty direct policy and a recent service and the mechanic said its in great shape and been well looked after!!! so basically keep looking cos they are out there!!!! ![]() good luck! ![]() |
