Our mini Cooper 2001 model has developed a disturbing noise from the transmission. It's a dull knocking noise that is there as you go through each gear and load the transmission. Noise isn't present on idle and goes away when you depress the clutch. Sounds worst when you put it into 5th gear! Is this another gearbox failure? Car has done 45,000 miles.
What are our options? recon gerarbox etc. Read on here that some people have had goodwill gestures from Mini in only having to pay half of labour costs. How do you go about claiming?
