software update available

Got my software updated yesterday for my Cooper (the S update is available too).

This morning it was 40 degrees (F). Previously, when it was below 45 it would be sluggish and nearly stall when pulling away in the cold. This morning the initial idle was at ~1250 rpm (rather than ~850 rpm) and had no lag when pulling away. Once the car warmed up the idle went back down to a little under 1000 rpm.

That's the only immediate difference I noticed so far. I'll post any differeneces after driving it for another week. Hopefully we'll get a few more cold mornings.

Is there any way to check the software version?

My cooper is a January 2002 Build.

In another post it was referred to as CD #31 and that it is for MINI's built prior to July 2002.
