Cold start rattle...

I know this has been in here before , but the cold start rattle was supposedly fixed @ my dealer, but hey presto, a bit of cold weather, on start up this morning and it sounds like a 1.1 fiesta. I assume this is because the hydraulic tappets have drained their oil overnight? I drive it to about 4800 rpm, so i am not really driving it that hard(apart from around corners that is)

Should i go back again to my deale rand try again? Has anyone actually had this fixed without it coming back?

If the noise vanishes in a couple of seconds, don't panic! This is standard with hydraulic tappets, and not a problem. BUT DON'T REV UNTIL THE NOISE HAS GONE! Doing so can cause permanent damage... If the noise remains, get it checked. Could be as simple as low oil levels....
