My mum wants an Electric Blue Cooper. Not an S. Will MINI make her dream happen for a reasonable price?

Unfortunately, no. That's a color reserved only for the S at this point.

There has been talk that sometime in the future you may be able to custom order a MINI with whatever color you want (even non-standard colors) but that day has not arrived yet.

Oh well. Thanks for your help. I've been picking through the site for about a 4 month period, just decided to register. I guess my mom will have to manage with BRG, and I'll get either the same, or IB.

I had the same problem. The only input into my car's spec from my wife was "Oh, have it in that lovely blue over there" as she pointed to the EB S. I did ask the dealer, got told No unless you have the S, suggested to my wife that we blow a few more grand and get an S instead and got told No again !

I was in my local dealer on Monday, picking my MC up from yet another recall, and popped through to the sales bit.

Got chatting to some bloke in there about the ONE he was buying for his daughter

. She too had wanted the EB and he being the generous father is getting them to respray it for them

.

I didn't ask how much that was setting him back, but he said she would be doing some serious sucking up! The only reason that it wasn't a Cooper was that it was to quick, so this route may be avalible if you are feeling flush.

Otherwise go for the S
