Offline | Hello! This is my first post. I put a deposit on a cooper at my local dealership in Illinois. It's red w/ black roof, all 3 packages. I currently have a Durango and am making the switch. I'm 6.7" and found that I fit very well in the Cooper, but had some 'space' questions I thought I would throw out to you guys. Is it possible to fit 2 sets of golf clubs in the back w/ the seats down? It's a huge change for me, I know it's for the better, but I at least need to do that kind of stuff. Any input would be greatly appreciated, and I'll post pix when I get them! ********** Insert Catchy Tagline Here ********** '04 IB/B MCS - Cold Weather/Sport/Performance Aux (iPod) Input |

Offline | Welcome. Don't golf anymore (no time) but welcome anyway to the "goofy grin club". I am in Downers Grove, so I'm sure we'll see each other on the road at some point. ![]() miniyup Built 11 Apr & delivered 23 May: 03 MCS EB/W w/ wide stripe F&R, all 3 Pkgs (except wheels - 16" v-spoke), Lapis, Anthracite |

Offline | Hey I just switched from years of Nissan pathfinders and Ford Explorers to an all black Cooper. Love the change. I have installed a trailer hitch to tow a small trailer full of windsurfing equipment. It's now a lot more fun getting to the beach. I get alot of funny looks. |

Offline | I can't carry sheets of plywood anymore... but if I were to need to, I could rent a pickup from U-Haul for $19.95 a day. No regrets about the switch. Chip H. ex-MINI Cooper S owner and all around good-guy |

| MINI2 Regular | I also made the "switch" (sorry to borrow your catch phrase, Steve Jobs). From a '93 Pathfinder to my current Cooper. After driving the Cooper for a while, the body roll in the Pathfinder was intolerable. The only real problem is that the Pathfinder kept me at legal speeds due to its SUV handling characteristics...the Cooper does me no such favor, as I'm usually breaking the law by the time I merge onto the freeway. | I Just Can't Get Enough | This is going to make me sound really sad but, you can get 2 sets of golf clubs in along with 2 trollys for us lazy people! Only problem is the wheels of the trolleys make a mess in the car when they are wet and dirty! Typical British Summer weather! ![]() |

Offline | Hi all..I'm brand new here..hoping to go test drive a Mini next week, since I'm already in love with 'em! I too will be giving up an suv, my 2001 Ford Escape XLT, to own a Mini--I can't wait to drive one, I have to drive 200 miles to the nearest dealer, but it's no biggy. Wondering if any of you have dealt with Niello Mini dealership in Sacramento,Ca? Also, have any of you taken your Mini on a long road trip, ie 1500 miles or more? If so, how did it do..I want to motor!! MINI is a way of life! |

Offline | We have a Ford Escape and a Cooper. It is surprising how much you can fit in the MINI. In the end, I kind of feel silly for thinking I needed the space of an SUV. |

Offline | Ugh! Ford Escape what is so cool about those things? I rode in one not long ago and was not impressed...just another cutsey ute with the typical cheap Ford fit and finish. Maybe I am biased, I totally dislike SUVs, except when I am in the Colorado Rockies in the middle of a bad snowstorm. '02 MINI Cooper CVT On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03) |

Offline | Hey guys, thanks for all of the input. My pics are in my profile if you want to check them out. Haven't thought twice about the switch since I made it. My wife drives an Escape too, so we've got the "extra room" if needed, but needless to say I've made a few golfing excursions w/ the new mini and haven't had a problem. ![]() ********** Insert Catchy Tagline Here ********** '04 IB/B MCS - Cold Weather/Sport/Performance Aux (iPod) Input |

Offline | I have had my Cooper for only 3 weeks but just finnished a trip from Atlanta GA to Louisville KY to St.Louis MO and back to Atlanta about 18 total hours of motoring and was most impressed... Very comfy seats (I have the sport seats) and great ride... (I have SS+ on 15" 7holes) My wife called it the time machine... as it made long ammounts of time pass quickly, hardest part is keeping the speed down the car is soo smooth. Offline | Sounds like a great trip Jason! I drove to Dallas and back in my Escape and I'd very much like to do the same in a Mini, or maybe I pick one up in Texas and then drive it back...I just can't wait to own one, I love to drive and this just feels like a drivers car! MINI is a way of life! |
