I think there's one at the local dealership at Mini Yaletown. LY/blk with hoodstripes, aerokit, r90 wheels and white tails. I'm due to go in and bother my motoring advisor about my mini anyways

Angry Oh My God!!!

I am sorry, but I think you must be mad to buy a Yellow mini!!
Not only does it instantly wipe a Grand of the resale value (article in the Times, still in the archives online) but it is just gross!!

Look there are far better colours and so many accessories that you can add if you really want to stand out in your Mini.

DON'T DO IT!!!!

You bought a solid black MCS? What were you thinking? You will have to wash it every 2-3 hours. It will show every scratch, swirl mark, spot of dust and small dings. People will laugh at you as you drive around in such a dirty car.

It's the least popular colour, and 2nd hand black cars usually look the oldest.

There are far better colours and so many accessories that you can add if you really want to stand out in your Mini.

You dig???? Chill out, man. Everyone has an opinion. Don't put people down just because you don't agree. Noticed you're saying the same rubbish in another thread.

I totally agree, everyone has their opinion, and I am chilled. Black is a nightmare, but when you get it clean it looks the Mutts Nutts, and I have some great plans to make it even more mine.

Still doesn't stop me disliking the yellow cars, do you really want your friends to start taking the Michael and calling you Banana Man or Custard chucker?

Oh and here is the link to the resale article, if you want proof. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article...642997,00.html

But at the end of the day we are all Mini Owners, we are all individuals, and we all have the best taste in the choice of car so go with what you personally favour, thats what buying a Mini is about! And of course the years of happy motoring!

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

You will never go wrong with Liquid Yellow/Black combination.

At first I don't like it but wife wants it because she said since it's small car among the SUV's here in the U.S. plus the gloomy Chicago weather---It will be a SAFETY issue.
You can easily be seen by others.

Also, at first I am worried about 'resale" value but I don't care since I plan to keep it.Here the popular & safe color is Silver for high resale value.
Besides it STANDS OUT among the crowd.

Hope this helps.

See my arguement is all answered in the post from Elmandi, Yellow is all to do with the Wife, hahahahaha!!! And also it is far more american, as in no taste at all.

Thanks for the evidence and proof. Another question would have to be who wears the trousers, and if you let the wife choose yours does she pick them, and are they yellow for safety reasons, hahahahaha!!!!

Rakey, I do not appreciate the way you post in this thread.
Your very unfriendly in this manner especially "bashing" that "...american, as in no tast at all".

(Are you married or have a boyfriend/girlfriend? When you love someone you consider your partner's opinion.)

We are here in MINI2 to "help" other fellow MINI owners in their choice of options. What you have posted is not only unhelpful but also offended me.

Oh grow up, where is your sense of Humour???

I know you have one, you considering a yellow mini.

Just chill out, life is too short to get stressed over other peoples opinions and views, be a man and make up your own mind on the colour and then I wish you to enjoy your excellent choice of car.

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

I think you are the one who should "grow up".

I cannot chill out because of your "insensitive" opinion. It's not funny when you "bash" me and for considering my wife's opinion.

End of topic.

In any case, just like you said:

"But at the end of the day we are all Mini Owners, we are all individuals, and we all have the best taste in the choice of car so go with what you personally favour, thats what buying a Mini is about! And of course the years of happy motoring!".

Chiming in late but I too have a '03 MCS LY/B just like the contributor from NC here in the colonies. The only difference is that my dealer put on Cooper bonnet stripes rather than Cooper S stripes. To be honest, I didn't even catch this for 3 months but there is a difference and, frankly, I like the Cooper stripes a bit better on the yellow. There is NO white accent line on mine as there is on the real S stripes.

I really like the yellow but #1 it attracts insects (see relevant thread on this) and #2, since MINIs have the rear ends they have, the cars tend to get dirty from the front up in a sense. We go so bloody fast that dirt gets sucked onto our buns! And yellow doesn't hide it all that well.

Minor points both, have fun, go with the yellow. Boy, you Brits are testy;-)

Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear.
