I am finally going to be picking up my MINI Tuesday at East Bay MINI in Pleasanton, CA. My wait is finally over, but I have a few questions/concerns I would like some help with. I've read the FAQs and the threads of most subjects, but would like the opinions of those who have had experience with the products. I need to decide by Monday if I want the alarm installed ($675) and something called the Hendrick exterior/interior protection ($650). Is there a stock alarm already in the car that would be fine, or would the souped up one be better? Has anyone heard of or used this paint and interior protection package they are using at East Bay? Any comment and opinions are welcome. It was difficult enough deciding about the car itself!

There are various posts on the exterior protection. I placed a similar question related to diamond bright/ supagard. In general the message was it is best to get some stuff yourself and apply it as soon as poss. I cant comment on your particular stuff (Hendrick) however.

I am getting mine as a freebie with the car but reckon it is only exterior. Search on my thread as above and it might help you.

Alarm in UK costs £200 from factory or if you have an S, it comes as standard. Not sure about the US spec though.
