Hi Guys,
Quick question - I have ordered my cooper 6-7 weeks ago, and am now waiting till 1st week of Sept for delivery so as to get the license plate change.

Would the car itself have the "new 04" features listed (auto-locking doors, blinking blinkers when locking, etc.), or does this only effect cars ordered from Sept onwards?

Only cars from Sept 1st BUILD will have the new '04 features.

If the build date was 1st Sept, how long after would delivery be expected? I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago but asked them to wait for the 04 changes to be implemented before beginning production.

Depending on the dealer prep time, usually between a week and two weeks from build date to collection date.

it is unlikely that it will be a 2004 model.

If you end up with an '03 model I wouldn't be too worried. I am in the same boat but feel that the changes are minor. Some of the programmable memory options are already available (speak to your dealer before delivery) so the main things you'll miss out on are the OBC (if you haven't aleady ordered it)in the Chili pack and the digital speed display.

If you're unhappy speak to your dealer. I did and got one of my smaller optional extras thrown in free.
