Offline | Here she comes... Here she is, my beautiful Cooper. Only 221 miles on her. Added some red interior footwell lights, will post as soon as I can get a decent pic up. No probs so far, save for a couple of minor dash squeaks, I will monitor but they come and go a bit. Hopefully all will settle as the newness wears off. Had a fantastic blast around some of the most beautiful scenery in the West Coast of Scotland last night. I had forgotten that driving could be a pleasure rather than a shopping trolley or a bus to work! |

Offline | Of course!!! The roads round the Trossachs are fantastic for the Mini only problem was the b'tards in other cars who kept getting in my way. I decided not to overtake anyone unless I could do it within the 4k range, made it a bit frustrating but it will be worth the wait - I am sure. Glad I got the bonnet stripes, think they make the car stand out a bit. I found it an amazing journey the number of people who noticed the car, a couple of girls even waved at the car (not me I am an old codger!!) and I even got a mini flash from the only other mini I saw in my 120 mile round trip. Also I hadn't expected the follow me home function would be programmed and it was, it was quite cool seeing it for the first time. |

Offline | Douglas Park, though I can't say I would recommend them. They all seem tighter than the proverbial ducks bottom if you ask me. Apart from that not quite sure that their mini knowledge was too hot. What experiences do you have Weeman82? |

Offline | Nice Car Good colour combo there, same as my just ordered coop only I want the white wheels (will prolly regret it but have to have them)! I went to Harry Fairbairns for the second time as I got my One there and they have been great, althought I do know more than them but I think any regular on here probably knows more than most dealers! ![]() expealadocious, even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious. |

Offline | I went to the three Glasgow Dealers before deciding, Douglas Pak, Henry Brothers and Harry Fairbairn. Douglas Park - I was disappointed with them - Margaret the SP said she would not be held to a "dutch Auction" on trying to get them to match a price I had already been given by Henry Brothers, so I got up and left (their loose). On saying that though she had been pleasent enough before that but I didn't like the Auction comment. Henry Brothers - Were Great, Alan there seemed to know what he was talking about - infact it was him who told me about this site but..... Harry Fairbairn - Asked me what I wanted and gave me it - They were excellent and I would recommend anybody in Glasgw to go there. Penny the SP dealing with me has been great and has kept me updated along the way. Are we nearly there yet? |

Offline | I preferred Henry Bros too, Alan really knows his stuff. Unfortunately they couldnt source a car at the right time for me, not sure if Douglas Park get a bigger allocation. To be honest DP were generally OK, I just didn't like the hassle when I traded in my beemer, arrogant Sales Manager toss pot, never even saw the person, just told "the P/X price included the road tax that was on the car, take it or leave it" Aye right after waiting 4 weeks for the car just walk away sure thing - perhaps I should have right enough. Margaret was very nice and the only one who responded when I email all three Glasgow dealerships for a quote. However between me and her we managed to leave off ASC, which may not be the end of the world but it also leaves you with a blank switch position. I think they are real tight wads in there, never even got a proper mini key ring just a useless bunch of flowers which was no good cos we were off to Cyprus for 2 weeks the very next day. When I trade up for an S next year or so I will definately go to Henry Bros, they get top marks for nothing was too much trouble, plus I always have had my cars serviced in there and will do so with the mini. |

| MINI2 Resident Doctor!! | I think there is the beginnings of a "we think alan is great club!" he is often on mini2, as he seems to always know what i want when i call up as i have discussed it to death on here first!! Still don't know what his username is though!! MY MINI WAS A: 03 Chilli Red White Cooper S ![]() I'VE HAD IN BETWEEN: BMW Z4 2.5 V6, Golf GTi 2.0T DSG AND I'M BACK TO: 04 Dark Silver Mini cooper S |
