Cool Air Con

Last weekend I was whizzing around London for a couple of hours, and then parked up for about 2 hours. When i got back in to drive off I noticed water leaking from the engine and naturally was concerned. However the liquid was simply water running from the Air Con unit - apparently in this heat the unit gets so packed up with condensation that the water literally pours out. However it's nothing to worry about - in fact it's characteristic of BMWs so I hear. So don't be scared - it's just a touch of Mini Sunstroke!!

All AC systems do that. Most noticeable when the humidity is high.

I've been there myself with the fear of a burst hose pipe or something.

Not specific to BMW at all....I've never even been worried about it, I've always known AC did that.

Intrepidmini:
How the hell did you manage to 'whizz' around London for 2 hours? The chances of whizzing anywhere in London are remote, so 2 hours whizzing is impressive!

I did worry once after seeing a trail of water coming from underneath the car, then I remembered the air-con was on

I sinned and drove around West End on a Saturday, and Apple got more looks than the posh cars that parked along Bond Street

I often wonder whether it is feasible to do a run in Central London

Oh I like London - lots of shop windows to admire Apple's reflection
