Cool Hello, I have questions about the non-S (North American model) Mini-Cooper

Here is a list of questions that I hope someone can answer:

1. When I build the regular Mini-Cooper I don't get to choose the types of bonnet stripes like I can with the Mini-Cooper S. However, when I get almost done building it I get into a section that sells exterior accessories. In there however I can equip the bonnet stripes. Are these particular bonnet stripes put on by the dealer or the factory? Is it better to get the stripes put on by the factory?

2. Is a non-S Mini-Cooper as fast as the old MiniCooper-S? How fast was the old Mini-Cooper S? (0 to 60)

3. Is it advisable to not get the rally lights because they add wind drag?

4. Does the real hatch spoiler do anything? Will it help me if I drive under 70mph?

That's all my questions! Thanks for reading!

1. all stripes are vinyl decals, get whatever ones you prefer ... there are many more aftremarket options also ... check out forum sponser www.cooperflags.com for more options.
2. dunno never had a classic Mini.
3. the amount of drag added is negliable unless you are going to get into very serious racing on a track.
4. spoiler is pretty much for looks only ... IMO it doesn't look good without one and it is pretty inexpensive.

1. The bonnet stripes are dealer installed accessory. You can get either the Cooper or the S stripes. The S stripes have a black edge on them. I have the S stripes on my Cooper and IMO they look better.

2. I did not own a mini S but I had a mini 850 converted to a 1275 c.c. engine and a weber carb and I believe my mini was faster but I have no proof and the car rattled and shook so much it may have just felt faster!

4. Get the spoiler. it looks good but probably does little for drag.
