Has anyone had any luck getting a change over cost for their Cooper to a Cooper S.
I have been into several dealers and they all seem to get scared when you try and ask for a value. Even questions asking for answers give or take £1000 make them run for cover. I'd really like to put my name down but can't until someone gives me a rough price.

Why bother getting a Cooper S if you already have a Cooper, they look far nicer and you can put your own supercharger in it and whoops the Ss pants off! That is, if you don't mind voiding your warranty and being adventurous!

I have been offered £19k for mine....paid £17k. Thats a deal...but I ain't waiting for another one! It hurts to wait!

I don't understand this reply!! You paid £17K for a Cooper? And a dealer has offered you £19K? Tell him he can have mine for £18K - I only paid £13K!

Seriously, if anyone has been offered a trade in price by a dealer on a Cooper, it would be very interesting to see the initial depreciation. My guess is the waiting lists are not so long that people will pay over-the-odds prices (the above example being an obvious exception).

I`ve been offered £12550 by a BMW/MINI dealer on my Cooper, 3000 miles registered Nov 01, spec as below.

Just remember as well I haven't got my MINI yet...arrives in a few weeks and that is 19k for a brand new one with no miles!

was that for another potential buyer?

Its not exactly my dealer, its my dads mate who has a BMW Service Garage, he has a chap who is looking for a Cooper immediately! I ofcourse said no, after waiting this long! He has now gone to Soper of Lincoln and Taylors of Boston to see if they can help!

i've had quick quote on my car- bmw say 11 and a half and mines a chili cooper with cd and a/c and 2500 miles on the clock thats trading in towards a bmw compact though... im gonna see how it is against a type r

sirobbo 12550 sounds like a deal!
