Question Silk Green?

Can anyone who has seen an actual car in Silk Green please comment? MINIs are arriving in the USA in two days, and I'll be placing my order then. But the two Connecticut dealers will have no cars in this color, so all I have to go by is a web page and brochure. I'll have to make my choice without seeing the real thing. Scary...

I know it's not selling well, because they're pushing it. Still, I like how it looks on the website. If it’s kind of a metallic celery color, that’s exactly what I’m after.
Also, is it too light for a white roof? I want a white roof!

Thanks!

I have seen silk green with both white and black rooves. It is a fine colour, tho has to have the white roof to bring it out. I'd say it's a minty green and looks superb with the chrome.
My dealer has sold only a few silk green, IMHO it looks far better than BRG.
Personally I have gone for Indi blue and white as after seeing nearly all colour combos it looked the smartest.

I think silk green is a pretty nice colour.

And it is bottom of the sales chart in the UK too, so it could be quite 'exclusive'.

I've seen several, but only with black or body coloured roofs, and I have to say that it looks great. I don't really understand why it's not more popular.

There are some pretty good pictures in the personal gallerys, in Silverstones and Silkgreens I think.

Varse's Velvet Beauty Mk11 is no longer, sold back to my dealer.

Silk green is fine for a Mini One, but for a Cooper you want something more sporty. Just my opinion, but sales figures show I'm not alone.

There's gotta be a most and least popular colour....
Silk green is a pretty cool colour IMHO, almost went there myself....
Red has it's fair share of dislikers too....!

Silk green with white top or silk green with black top?

If silk green with white top, white rims or silver rims?

I'd go white roof and rims with silk green.

on saturday at john cooper works i saw there new demo car

silk green cooper white roof and 17 s spokes

it looked better then my silver cooper
" I hated saying that " but its true

I also went for a test drive in a works cooper and it sounds nice and is more punchy then my cooper but not
that much faster then my cooper if money is no object then get the kit but i dont think its worth it for the little extra power you get but the s is a diffrent story

204 bhp is the offical power of the s works kit according to michael cooper

Cool Silk Green

Does nothing for the Mini and nothing for me.
Try Indi Blue with white roof.

Does anyone know anything about the availability of Silk Green in the U.S.? I've heard that it's not yet available on Coopers, as well as the colors Gold, Velvet Red, and Candy Blue (is that the right name?). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Silk Green needs to be less pastel and more electric

I agree - Silk Green would have the same "glitter" as Electric Blue, if it has less White in it..

But I fear the Mini then would look like a frog
