any idea about value. cost £15k new. please help

I am in the same boat! Have ordered my Cooper S, waiting now, due April 20th! Can't wait, now to sell my Cooper!

It is as follows:

The dealer has offered me 12.5k part ex, which I think is a bit low, considering it was 15k new only 9 months ago!!

I am going to try and sell it privately, as I've seen similar specs on forecourts for 14k!! I think I'll advertise it at £13,900 and see how I get on!?

What does everyone think?

I think you might struggle to get so much in a private sale given that you can spec up a new Cooper pretty well for £14k. Have a look on autotrader etc to see what people are selling their's for. As a rough guess you should get somewhere on the middle of what the dealer is offering and what they would sell it for, that would be £13250 in this case.

That's probably what I'd expect to get, but I have 6 weeks before the new S arrives, so I might try my luck a bit higher, and see if I can get a bit more for it... no harm in trying!?

Thing is, a dealer cannot really offer more than me in a sale of the MINI being it's tender age of 8-9months! The warranty and TLC will transfer to the new owners name, I have brand new dealer fit tyres, and the £130 chrome extra's which stand out from the crowd a lot!!

Ah well, I can try my best!
