Could anybody tell me whether or not it is a good deal at £13,999

if its from a main dealer it sounds about right to me!
but hey wot do i know?
my outlook would be if u like it and want it buy it!
all the time wasted chasing saving a couple of hundred quid is time you could have been driving your new mini!!!!

If it had CHILLI pack and not PEPPER then it would be >£14k but most of the stuff on the list is either standard or included with PEPPER.

BAZil - try going on mini.co.uk and use the "build your own" to spec up the car.

From what I see the options you have are:

Basic car £11800
PEPPER - £??? don't know what this costs now as the preice has gone up recently as it now includes the on board computer - say £400
Auto AC ~£800
Metallic paint £250
CD player with boost ~£200
spoiler £100
triangle £25

assuming it's not sports seats and bigger than the standard PEPPER alloys this adds up to only ~£13500

Thanks for your help guys. I calculated the same spec using "mini made to measure" and it was only £13,665. I discovered the MINI at motorpoint glasgow. I won't be buying one from there. Cheers for the help!

Check out www.newminiscotland.co.uk forum - there are runs coming up over the summer.

If you are specifically after a second hand MINI take a look at MINI dealers ones on www.minicherished.co.uk you can look to see what local dealers have got. You could always buy privately and save yourself at least £500 over what dealers charge. There aew often terrific cars for sale here on MINI2.

I wouldn't buy one from an independent garage personally. The one you quoted is way over priced and I saw one at an Arnold Clarks recently and it looked too pricey too. Think they are chancing it a bit because MINI is so popular.

bad deal - spec a car yourself for this money. Get half leather seats with Chili pack. If you can't wait or the price is negotiable then buy this. The spec does read well although I don't know who would spec a car in that way. Chili would also get you 16" alloys whereas yours are probably 15". Most of the other things on the list are standard with Chili.

Go to a dealer and go through the options compared to buying new.
