Offline | Project Cooper usa style Hi all, I am a Brit living in Florida. A co-owner of where I work has just bought a Cooper and he is doing a bunch of stuff to it. I thought it may be cool to try and log with pictures everything he does. Its a Black on black cooper with white roof and 17" wheels. Heres his goody list, 4pot brakes,SS lines and cross drilled rotors, Koni coil overs, exhaust headers and a 50 shot of nitrous. He is keeping the stock exhaust but powdercoating it black. I will try and get some pictures up this week. He has a cooper S on order and says he has big plans for that one I was in a position to order my own Cooper S through his contact and its expected here in July. Oh and while I decided to keep my boss anonymous, I can tell you that he owns more than 70 cars with his recent being a custom factory Audi A8 and Porsche GT2 so no expense will be spared on these minis (except mine ) and so thats why I thought it may be interesting. Cheers, Limey. |

Offline | Hey Lugnutz, Yeah I would like to know more about your club. A few years ago when I had my yellow 95 Volvo T5-R wagon I met a bunch of classic mini drivers one sat night at the Dale Mabry/Columbus Miami Subs parking lot. Anyways the bossmans Mini is at the paint shop right now getting checkers painted on the roof. He ordered the decals but he dont like how they leave a white border around the edge. He wanted a black on black car but it came with a white roof and mirrors so he has painted the mirrors already. If anyone has a link to where I can host some pics for free then I can post some. I used to use Photopoint but they now charge. Cheers, Limey |

Offline | Thanks Cooperbabe and a bigger thanks to Paul, I have loaded some pics on this website. When we get the car back I will post some more. I am bummed about my own personal order I wanted the full cold weather package and the HK stereo but now they are saying not until September. I wonder if they mean you can order then or it will be ready in September making it orderable July?? Offline | Limey, not sure about your dealer, but Tom Bush is saying if you want those options you're looking at a September production/October delivery date. I figure I can live w/o rain sensing wipers if it means I can be motoring this summer! |

Offline | Those stock calipers kinda look like old Girlings. Cool. I agree with your boss about the roof decals -- the white border just ain't right. Gotta cover the whole panel. -- d. hale Walter Mitty, a '95 Saturn SL2 http://newmini.weblogs.com |

Offline | Contrary to what many people think - it does get cold in Florida. We almost had a frost where I live and I used the heated seats in my 300M! 2007 DS/W MCS LSD, sport suspension, Enkei RPM2 wheels 2002 EB/W MCS Sport package, Rogue intake, Borla exhaust, 15% pulley & Madness sway bar |

Offline | From a previous car wreck I had back surgery and now heated seats are more theraputic than to keep my butt warm I also like the glow from the rain sensing unit on the auto dimming rear view. Limey. |

Offline | May IO just shoot in and say that you might consider/try a cooper with heated seats before you decide to wait all that time.. Simple reason is that the heated seats actually work so well that I nomally cant stand having them on for more than a few minutes - or they'll fry my bum... - even on "low" As they say... they're hot!
