Offline | "Ring Ring""Ring Ring" Yes the long awaited phone call "Mick its Mark from MINI your car has been built and is on its way to us now" Yes the lonnnnngggg wait is nearly over. I’ll pop into the dealers to sort out the reg. plate over the weekend, (nothing special, just choose from the normal list they have on offer) then sort out the insurance, (not my favourite thing to do) they want me to pick the car up on Monday 22/4/02 but I’m going to try for Friday 19/4/02 that way I’ll have the whole weekend to play with my new toy. I’ve finally decided on a name for the car "Mouse" not the most original but with a user name of MICKEY and the car being a MINI I thought it was appropriate. I'd like to say thanks for this site as its kept me sane over the last few Months, but i feel the next 2 weeks are going to be very very hard,i'm going to joing the Club soon, well as soon as i get my printer fixed. Thanks |

Offline | Heathrow. they have been very good to me so-far. Went to Milcars and stood in the showroom. Its was like I was invisible, ended up leaving after trying to attract some attention vowing never to go back. Maybe it was just a bad day, who knows. I've calmed down now so i'll probably go back and use them now. |

Offline | Luck of the draw I suppose. I would have been happy with either as I live close to Milcars and work right next door to BMW Heathrow! If you pick your car up on a weekday keep an eye out for my Cooper, it's in the carpark next door. Then again maybe not, it's hidden behind a bush, lol. MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. Offline | Mouse is Silver & Black & its there today. As to choosing the Reg. it was nothing special, the choice was LS02*** or LS02*** you get my drift a choice of 5 all LS02 with a diferent ending. Mine is going to be LS02DVR. Its always nice to be given a chioce even if the slection is'nt that good. Might start working out how many hours i've got to wait, it's a slow day in work (did i say work. yes of course i'm busy gov'ner, can't you see me typing on the computer) Better go. Oh as to spec Cooper with Chilli,Aircon,Alarm,Heated Mirrors & Jets,Cd player,ASC+T, My minds gone blank but there's more Oh the excitement Last edited by MICKEY : Apr 12th, 2002 at 04:38 AM. |

Offline | Glad to hear that Heathrow are treating you well Mickey. Your "bad" experience with Milcars mirrors mine with Heathrow! It's amazing how 2 different dealers can give such different impressions to different customers. Hope you have fun with "Mouse". Offline | I drive a Classic Mini Cooper sport so that wasn't me your sister saw. I'm waiting for an S (which I've now ordered from Milcars) and the reason for switching my order was beacuse I was so not impressed with Heathrow's pre-sales "service", that I didn't even want to think about what they would be like post-sales. But if they've been sweet with you this far - there's no reason they shouldn't continue to be so. Besides - Miss Seacombe at Milcars is soooo much more attractive than Mark or Ray at Heathrow!
