| MINI2 Newbie | Do the white wheels show lots of brake dust real easily? Or Does BMW use a dust-free brake pads? Will the white (or silver) wheels peeled off? |

| MINI2 Master | There have been several threads about this. I suggest you use the search button and search for "white wheels AND brake dust". | MINI2 Newbie | Thanks Thanks for telling me. I didn't realize that people ask a lot about the same thing. I'm a new member and have lots ofthings to learn here; including researching about MINI because I plan to get a new car and MINI is the first major possibility. ;-) thanks again. |

Offline | it depends on the colour of the car and of course personal preferance. I personaly am going for indi blue with a white roof and considered white wheels but I thought the 17" S Spokes I have gone for looked better in silver. I have however seen a black and white Cooper with white S Spokes and it looked really smart. As for the cleaning side I have had white wheels in the past and although they obviously dont get dirtier just because they are white, they always look much dirtier than silver. Offline | Must admit I'm not a fan of white wheels. One potential problem I spotted on a white wheel Cooper the other week was that the wheels were a yellowish off white - not the same white as the roof. Anyone else noticed this? |

Offline | Our white wheels are not yellowy white, but they do show brake dust a lot. They show it even more when someone wipes their finger on a small patch and says "oh look, you've got brake dust on the wheels"...!! ![]() We had a SE Miata with shiny chrome wheels which I wasn't sure about until I saw them on the car and then they looked right. I think the same goes for white wheels on the Mini - It depends a lot on the colo(u)r combinations. I think the red with the white roof really goes well with the white wheels. Looking at the pictures above, I'm not so sure about the darker colors like the blue of Kinster's car. The only way to tell for sure though is to see them in the 'flesh' - pictures never do either style justice. |

Offline | White White White White White White White!! White wheels are the nuts. Sure, they get a bit dirty after a while but so does any wheel, regardless of colour (except maybe black!) White wheels rule, see: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
