Offline | mini one consumption is less , but seems to do similar miles. What it lacks in consumption it really loses in performance in terms of BHP. |

Offline | Tesco, Sainsburys, Esso and Shell etc will often draw the same raw petrol from each other's storage depots. The supermarkets then sell it on as it is but the fuel companies will often add detergents and other additives. Generally it is reckoned to be ok to fill with supermarket petrol as long as you don't run it on that exclusively and buy better fuel now and then. "Do try to keep up Nigel!" |

Offline | Its amazing just how much more fuel the cooper uses when driving about town (i get around 30 MPG ). Whereas country driving with no stopping/starting I get around 36 MPG.Found a good site for us less fortunate people who do not have the OBC, I wasn't lucky enough to have it included in the chilli pack of my March 2003 Cooper click here |

Offline | I presume this has been discussed elsewhere. I'm tending to drive around 300-320 miles on a tank and when I say a tank I've never been able to get more than 44 litres into the Cooper's tank...this has even involved standing at the pump trying to get that extra litre in and my all important Shell Pluspoint! Has anyone actually ever got near to the 50l mark I don't have an OBC on my Cooper so I never know what range I have left. Regards Christopher |

Offline | Is anyone else's OBC as wild as mine? If I keep it on constant MPG read-out even if I'm doing a steady speed it keeps jumping between 99.99mpg and 20mpg - I find it completely useless! |

Offline | I've had my cooper about a month now and just wondered if ppl's mpg has improved from new? Mine's doing around 29-30 mpg atm. and to the post above, my mpg tends to jump to 99.99 when I’m potting along and take my foot off the go pedal, I’d say that makes sense. |

Offline | I'm not sure what mpg I'm getting as i don't believe the trip computer for a second! However i usually get between 330 and 350 miles from the tank before the warning light comes on! Which is a change to my previous car, the ford puma 1.7 where i was lucky to get 210 miles from a full tank! Andy. ![]() Civic Type-R (Ex Mini Cooper owner) |

Offline | For town driving that seems alright, I'd say about 80% of my driving is motorway driving, on my first tank when i got the car i did mostly town driving and got just below 300 miles, but then again i was driving round changing at 1500 rpm! hehe! ![]() Civic Type-R (Ex Mini Cooper owner) |
