United-Kingdom ITG Panel filter for 05 Cooper/One

ITG 2005 Cooper Drop-In Filter

First past the post.....Check the following link for a picture.

http://www.myminiparts.com/Products...ropInFilter.htm..

Try the ITG Filter. I had not heard of them before until I came across them in a VW forum.

Ordered one six days ago from the USA www.myminiparts.com. Works out about £38:75 including shipping along with excellent customer service as well. If your interested contact Peter Foglia at MyMini and send payment via Paypal because his website doesn't calculate international shipping charges.

For those who don't like their filters to come with jet lag... go to the ITG website and email Andy Jackson UK ITG Parts Manager who can supply one in the UK. £39 + Vat or
Merlin Motorsport. Also very helpful & same price as the above.

So whats it like..... Several layers of foam at different densities. Comes pre-oiled. Seems well made with good care instructions. Bit of a pain to fit because of the smaller 05 airbox and my filters tolerance was on the large size.

Subtle change to engine note and smoother response. Not going to set the world on fire with a surge in performance but if you asked me if I'd buy one again....Yes

Look out Pipercross..... ITG have got a good steal on you.

I don't think ITG claim any power improvement with their panel filters.
They just claim that they stay cleaner for longer and don't deteriorate like a paper one over the same period of time.
I think K&N and Pipercross claim a small increase in output. I doubt anyone would notice the difference. I have had both in a number of other cars ( including an Elise) and noticed no difference at all!
