You can never spec enough
..and never let a lack of money stop you!
You also don't have a front arm rest (essential once you've had it) or heated seats... ;P
MFSW is multi function steering wheel which controls CD track, volume, radio station but more importantly adds cruise control to your steering wheel - essential!
It may come as part of the chilli pack....it does on the "S"
I also really want the visual radio screen, but without "connect" its limited in usefulness I suppose.
Dont worry about the heated screen - not sure who told you that as mines been repaired twice now. And replaced too for £50 (fully comp ins.). No bother what so ever and its so cool in winter - 10 seconds and all ice has melted, no mess no bother. Just sit there with warm buns (remember, the heated seats!)
Auto lights = essential! (wipers work OK)
Xenons look cool, but not essential (IMHO)
OBC = essential, need to know about your MPG!
Extended light pack = cool for showing the Mrs. how you can make the interior glow pink or blue
Auto AC = essential, couldnt go back, especially now I know it has auto air recirc which activates when it senses too many Hydrocarbon fumes in the air!
I know you can never spec enough but you do have to stop somewhere, to say never let a lack of money stop you seems odd. I could not warrant paying anymore money on it especially that after four years I won't get any money back for all these extras as we have just found out when handing our current Cooper D back.
The front armrest wasn't specced as I have a bad elbow so didn't want to keep banging it on the rest,
Msfw does come with the Chilli pack, heated seats we don't like them but I know they are good as the leather gets cold in the winter, but they don't do coolers for when they are hot in the summer!
Regarding the screen we had three windscreen firms and I am a qualified tech, they don't repair them normally due to if chipped they drill the chip and then insert resign in but they say that it damages the elements in the screen and then they don't work.
All cars are different as are owners specs that's what great about MINI
Hope you enjoy your car, I will mine when it arrives.
i know it was tongue in cheeck mate, its just no matter what you have someone always seems to say something negative. The finance is already £400 per month so I was at my limit, I did not want the screen as our last one had it and it was to be fair pointless,
£400 a month... What was the final cost with all the options. I've just ordered a Clubman D Soho with at a total cost of £19750 which works out at £299.99 a month (had to haggle hard).
