Top of the range All4 with faults

Hi
I have a lovely new MINI Countryman Cooper S all 4 and ever since ownership it has an annoying fault whereby it will stall in first gear when pulling off. Switching off the auto off doesnt seem to make any difference.
Is like the whole ECU gives up for a nanosecond.

Second fault is that in no way is it 180+ BHP it feels much more like 80 if that the turbo works but only under moderate acceleration IE fut to the floor produces nothing but back off a bit and it kicks in but hardly call it a kick in more like a wheezing normally aspirated car. Its been back to the dealer twice and came back twice no better. Both times I was loaned a car one diesel mini countryman which was so much more refind and considerably faster and more recently a deisel clubman which is way better made quieter better geabox and again heaps faster. I just dont know what elese to suggest because no one seems to know. I guess they may all be this way.
I dont worry about the rattling doors, seatbelts and dash as I can always remove the door trims and investigate myself where the problems are here and sort them myself. But it was a £33k car with all the options and sure as heck doesnt feel like one.
ANyone with the same issues or can help me get to the bottom of what to do
Thanks

Take it to another dealer or ask them to get the Mini technical area manager down, as for rattles get them to do it. You shouldn't be repairing a car in warranty, that's what you've paid for.
Don't let them fob you off!

I'd insist on a back-to-back drive in a comparable demo so you can properly gauge the issue/difference, then make one of the sales or tech guys drive yours with you in the passenger seat so you can clearly detail the exact issue(s) to them.

If you still get no joy, as above, I'd be tempted to take it to another dealer... but on a £33k car (and ANY new car for that matter), you should absolutely NOT be getting fobbed off! Even though the sale is done, they should still be jumping through hoops - where possible/reasonable - to ensure that you're happy.

Let us know how you get on. Contacting MINI Customer Services directly usually helps if you're having trouble... I can root out all the details which have proved most fruitful for other forum members in the past if you'd like?

Also, sorry to hear of your trouble, and welcome to the forum (albeit under less than ideal circumstances).

If no joy, post on the Mini UK or Mini Countryman facebook page for everybody to see. That will get things moving- it did for me anyway.

I have the email addresses for a few people at Mini uk as my dealership copied me in on an email to the customer service manager etc when I had issues.
I can put them on here if you need them?

Let me know and I really hope you get it sorted take it from me don't let them feed you with bull crap! Don't take no for an answer it may end up getting a bit sour but that's there issue not yours.
I ended up getting a full refund and the car is back with them, they lost loads of money on it but that's what happens when the dealership is rubbish!
We ended up getting an Audi in the end and it's a different experience by far, we have had no faults they level of service at the dealership has been amazing.
I just wish the Mini garage and Mini Uk had been as good. I still wish I could intake my matters further as they should not be allowed to get away with it but as I had a full refund technically my contract was voided!

Anyway keep us all informed.
