Well it looks like the 2013's will get the window switches on the door. And it only took 12 years of automotive journalist complaints to make it happen!

I like the quirkiness of having them on the dash... It's all novelty... Safety issue, but who cares, you get used to it...

I agree. It would only be a problem if you were a journalist moving in and out of cars all your life. For the average owner, you get use to it on day #2.

I find though when you own a different car, one for each day of the week, its gets confusing, best if they are more or less in the same places like the pedals and steering wheel.

Having had a MG ZR, and TF (ignoring the location of the ZT) I was quite used to the location for the countryman......

My only negative is if your using the cup holders......
