Well, I've been searching for a car all year. I gave back my Mercedes B200 lease last May and have been car shopping ever since then. I just couldn't get into anything and was bored. I had ordered a 2013 B250 but when it came in my heart jut wasn't into it.
My wife suggested I try a Mini and I said "nope too tiny" and that was that. I had already test driven a Fiat 500 and hated it and thought the Mini was the same. I also drove an Abarth but it was just too tiny. I actually got sick of car shopping and didn't know what to do. Everything in my price range was so... Blah.
So this past Thursday my wife calls me from the Mini dealership and says "I drove a Mini, you really should come and drive one."
So I go only to patronize her...
...and drive around the block. Cool car! I'm hooked! Literally around one block and I was sold!
So we went back today and I bought one new right off the truck. I learned everything about Mini in 10 minutes and was ready to buy! Too easy!
I actually wanted a different colour but didn't want to wait 6-8 weeks for it, so I got a great discount on this one they just got in:
2013 Countryman S All4
Blazing Red with red roof
Xenon lights
Sport package
Wired package
Premium package
6 speed auto with paddles
Metallic paint
Semi metallic interior
18" 5 star double spoke
It will be prepped and ready Wednesday for pickup. I can't wait!
It is often said that once you get someone to actually drive a Mini they suddenly realise driving can be fun again. I have had my Mini six years now (plus several classic Mini's before that) and still take the longer route wherever possible for more time behind the wheel!
I ordered my 2011 "S" in March of last year and received it in May. I was willing to wait for what I wanted and have been exceedingly satisfied with both the car and the dealership over the past year and a half. Welcome to the "family"; I'm sure you'll love it too.

Jason, blazing red is a beautiful colour please dont spoil it with a black roof!
Only colour is white roof and white mirror caps. You need to get the dealer to paint the roof, you should get this done at a good price and the mirror caps are interchangeable, chrome (like mine) is cool.
