United-States New Countryman owner!

hello! I just bought a 2012 MINI Countryman and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!
I've always wanted one and my old mazda was totaled in a car accident last month so I decided to take a look at it and went home with it!!

Personally I wanted the cooper S but it was out of my budget....
but I still love my countryman!

So i have few questions...

1.Does the bluetooth only work for phone uses? Does it work to play music?
If so, how?

2. Is the front bumper for Cooper S fit perfectly to the base model?

3. Are the headlights replaceable to HID headlights?

I have not noticed any issue so far but the airbag/seat belt sensor on the passenger side seems bit too sensitive...it sometimes warns me with a wallet on a top. oh well.

Thanks!

I have a 2011 Countryman S and love it. I can't answer your first question, I don't know the answer; but, my gut tells me "No", just calls.
The "S" bumper is an exact match for the base model. The JCW is also; but, is very expensive relatively speaking.
The headlight are swappable; but, now you're really talking money, in addition to the lights, you'll also need the ballasts and igniters. I'd do additional rally lights instead for about 1/2 the cost; depending on whether you're using new or used parts, doing it yourself or having the dealer or a private garage do it.
With 120 HP, I wouldn't make it too racy looking. A nice aftermarket exhaust system.

thats exactly what I was thinking. I don't wanna make it too much of S version that i don't have money (which is true ) but trying to be a wanna be!
So yeah I will probably do the grill and I will just buy aftermarket HID light without the projector.

England HID Lights

1. From my experience the Bluetooth is phone only (Samsung Galaxy S 3).

3. The bulb is a H4, it has 2 fillment's. To make the HID high beam there is a solenoid in the bulb that pushes it back & forward, its not a very good solution. I purchased & tried this method with a cheap Chinese manufacturer, it works & looks good but i did not like the effect compared to OEM. I fitted Philips 100% & the results are now noticeably better. If u can afford it, get OEM at the start.

Apologies if i"ve musunderstood what youre getting at here but the cooper s bumper has an air intake above the number plate which the base doesnt... personally the base cooper front bumper looks fine to me. Its the awful rear bumper i would want to change!
