Boot release on keyfob

Hi all,

I have a Countryman 2013, and the keyfob is the standard one. Does the countryman have boot release function, or just the button that does not do anything?

Many thanks

My boot release button doesn't do anything on my 2011 CM. I'm happy with that, having had a bad experience with the key getting locked in the boot on a previous car.

Not sure if they are the same but I have a boot release button on my Convertible but it only works if the car is unlocked - apparently to stop the keys being locked in the boot.

On my 2011 Countryman the button will unlock the boot, but only once you have unlocked the car or drivers door first.

many thanks for your response, I will check that later.

Only had the car 3 weeks, so still learning a few bits.

I dont know if Countrymans are ever supplied with a drivers handbook but if they were it might tell you in it? Worth getting it out and checking anyway, they tend to tell you all sorts of operation information and tips.

My button undoes the boot.

Ohh.. I never tried using the button as I have the comfort access feature. That's a good question to check out, I'll update to see how mine works. A bit cold up here in Canada as we're experiencing -20 deg celcius weather here, might be a bit tricky as my fingers would be frozen while testing.
