What work have you had done under warranty?

Just coming up to 3 years old so I thought i'd list all the work done under warranty:

- misfire when accelerating (cured by software update)
- sump replaced due to oil leak
- 2nd oil leak but i forget from where
- thermostat replaced after car failed to start
- both front electric window motors replaced as windows developed a mind of there own
- software update as brake sensors said pads needed replacing when they didnt
- 3 bits of chrome trim along window replaced due to chrome peeling off
- boot badge/handle replaced due to chrome peeling off
- alloy wheel centre caps replaced due to bubbling under plastic coating
- membrane inside passenger door replaced due to rain water ingress

So all in all not good for a premium brand! Still enjoy driving it though.

What warranty work have you had done?

2 years old and nothing.

But then again it depends on a lot of variables again, like when someone asks how much will MINI insurance be,

Depends on how many miles youve done, is it left outside all the time, does it do lots of winter miles on the motorway in the salt, is it kept clean, what you drive it like flat out all the time, etc etc.

Mines never been out in the wet, always garaged and only done 1200 miles, so not surprising nothings needed doing.

Four months and 5,000 miles on my '13 base hardtop and not one single problem. I'm starting to think I got lucky.

Two and a half years with our SD All4 and 12,000 miles and nothing so far. It goes back to Mini this month and that will be the end of our Mini adventure.....our 330CD MSport Convertible is coming out to play again.

Complete transmission replacement on a 2014 Countryman after one month of ownership due to shift surging. The problem never completely went away. I'm not looking forward to the future.

Had a few sensor failures and a dealer reset blew ECU which replaced the radio (ecu). After buying extended electronic and major engine/transmission/drivetrain warranty, no problems at all. After factory warranty service entire vehicle on my own and therefore no more problems.
