Europe Newbie Coupé

Just saying hi
I was looking around today for info on Mini Connected and why video doesnt work for me using the snap-in adapter - found what I was after so thought I'd sign up as I'm sure I'll have more questions soon!

2 weeks ago I traded in my 2002 Mini Cooper for a new Mini Cooper S Coupé - I still love the previous Mini but the new one is a different world of fun! Loving the Mini Connected, but still puzzled why the much more expensive snap-in adapter doesn't do as much as the much cheaper Y-cable!

Anyway, really enjoying the drive in the new car - I've included a photo (as is requested of newbies). Those wheels are just the winter ones, I did pick something else for the summer,

As the car keeps telling me... Be Mini!
Andy

Hi Andy,
I have Mini Connected in my Cooper SD, Ive only had the car 3 days and its my first mini. Ive ordered the y cable and have been researching the apps available (pandora etc). Can you post some pics when you get the video option working... I don't have an iPhone at the mo (might invest) but wana see the screens/functions it will enable.
Thanks, Emma.

I also have mini connected and the snap in adapter. To be honest I only use it for charging the phone on long journeys as it will not play music etc via this connection; only the y lead. I have put all my music onto a 32gb micro USB stick and put that into the connector under the radio. Only around 6/7mm stick out but as it is black it cannot be seen; it offers the same functionality. As for video I have no idea, indeed I have no idea why any one would want to play video in a moving car.

OT but...

Love those seat covers; looks like you've half a wolf each for company.

Are you sure you have the MEDIA adaptor. They have a few versions of the adaptor and you will need the media adaptor to play videos.

You cannot play videos while the car is moving. As soon as you disengage the handbreak the video strops streaming, but the audio will keep going.

Have you managed to get the "Office" feature working in your car yet?

Dre
