Hi chaps! Just picked up my new wheels this morning, a 2014 Mini Roadster. I swapped from a 2009 Cooper Convertible and apart from the fact that the Roadster has a DAB option, the sound system seems to be identical. In the Cooper, I could play music from my iPod Shuffle (yes, I know it's ancient but I like it!) simply by plugging the USB charging cable that came with it into the car's USB port. The new car doesn't seem to recognise the Shuffle - it just keeps saying 'insert USB.' From a bit of googling it actually looks like the Shuffle should never even have played in the Cooper and as though no iPod would work in a Mini without a special Mini-bought cable but it did always work. Any thoughts - is it time for a new iPod, a new cable or both? All help much appreciated and please no mocking of my Shuffle, already had that from the other half :)
