Reserve your ticket with Minispares online, then you can always join the TotalMINI or Surrey New MINI groups who will be going on the run with details to follow nearer the time.

I got my official ticket for the run today... We'll be getting up there at 5am on the Sunday. I would have loved to go the night before but the missus will be 7 months pregnant so camping may not be the right thing to introduce to her !!

With a pregnant missus, if you want to avoid queuing up with 2000+ other Minis/MINIs waiting to leave for Brighton.......go the the Crystal Palace public car park alongside the official starting area and then leave from there at your leisure after collecting your official run pack and having a look around the cars lined up. I do that to make life easier for any impatient non-Mini enthusiast(s) in the passenger seat!!

Good tip! How long do you normally wait in the convoy otherwise? I'm most worried about the need to pee every 30 minutes!!

The front runners in the official startline convoy are always the overnight campers so even getting their early in the morning means you could be well back in the queue which starts leaving at 8am for Brighton. The last Mini's normally leave Crystal Palace park about 2 hours later, as the start marshalls have to release the Mini's in small batches out into the normal passing traffic on the main road.

If you are in the adjoining public car park you can walk back to your Mini and leave in your own time, joining the runners at the main road. I usually try to arrive there for 7am and leave around 8-9am.
PS. There are temporary loo's at the start area and normal loo's in the Crystal Palace Leisure centre nearby.

Thats all really good advice! Thank You! I bet the temp loos are horrid too! I shall need to find the leisure Centre before I get "the look"!

Leisure centre is next to the public car park a short walk......you can't miss it, has a large swimming pool and athletics track/stadium area opposite. Check it out on Google maps before you go. Temp loo's are not great and have long queue's.......there are also food/tea/coffee outlets on site for LtoB entrants where you pick up your run pack/t-shirt/plaque.
