United-Kingdom The New Forest is the best area in the country to go for a quiet drive...

Just watched Country File, and theres the lovely Michela Strachan driving around my part of the woods (Hehe! ) in an 05 hyper blue MCS (Not sure if its hers...) but the best drive in the country voted by people in a recent survey, is along the A35 through the beautiful New Forest down to Christchurch!

How lucky am I?!

Definitely worth a visit in the Summer!

But if your thinking of seeing for yourself, the A35 is actually currently closed....

I can't agree it's the best place for a drive, but it is really very nice. There are some very nice roads to explore around that area though, especially off the beaten track. It's a shame about the animals as if some of the 40's were 60's you could have a lot of fun!

Im just going on what the survey said! But it was probably a survey where the large majority of answering were...ya know..."older".

But you do have to go off the A35 to get some nice scenic and excellent driving routes.

And to be honest, you don't really encounter many ponies or cows on the roads...

No grass on the roads!

Livestock will always be on the roads in the Forest.

It's because the grass is always greener on the other side.
