4Car website road test of new MCS

4Car are now carrying their review of the MCS. Mostly 4 or 5 stars, with a slight dip in the performance category.

... and fifthgear website too

They are even more positive than 4Car, with a full five out of five stars awarded.

No one seems to be rating the sports suspension positively, it seems.

Apart from me.

I don't understand or agree with the issues these guys seem to have, it's softer than the current SS+ of the Cooper S and does apparently improve the handling. It was frustrating as I wanted to swap for non-sports suspension car on day 2, but nobody seemed willing to change and try the sports for a day. Also, you can almost guarantee the same publications will most likely, if not now then in the future, question the "dumbing down" or softening of the characteristic "MINI" ride. As they have done with all other "hot hatches".

We've also got a video review of the Cooper S live on the site now.
