Italian Job

Sat watching this last night on C4 (for about the 50th time , and a thought occured to me.

The 2 Coopers they use, are they running the old Cooper Works Kits? Or the Sound Kits?

I know they will have enhanced the sound, or added the engine sounds after filming, but they did sound tasty!

The full Cooper Works Kit, I think - The Soundkit hasn't been around that long.

yup - all films need sound enhancing as the mics only pick up the important parts (voices et al). The Minis were VERY augmented in the sound department! Loved it though (well, film's cr@p but the Minis did well)

Which was the ONE?

At the risk of the current Mrs Louisthethird shouting at me I will, once again, get the DVD out and watch it 'slo-mo' with a digit poised over the pause button.

Oh...the air will be blue!

They are standard cars in the film. No Works bits anywhere. The Cooper Works had a different exhaust and you can see it is still standard in many frames of the film.

I wonder what MINI's they will use in the Brazilian Job (if they use MINI's at all )

It was acceptable in the 80's
