Just been "supermarket mag browsing" & came across this months (April 2007) EVO article on the R56.
It Basically gets a slating for its "Bouncy" ride, & the interior & exterior design takes a knocking & is referred to as looking like ~ A Chinese attempt at cloning the previous version ~ or words along those lines
Youve just reminded me of what they said about the rear FogLights - something along the lines ..
~ its like the designers had totally forgotten about them until the very last minute, then simply just placed them on the rear without caring how bad they looked ~
I reckon they were probably still working on the bonnet mechanism when someone told them to drop everything & do the Fogs & Fuel Pump
Some magazines will love it, some will hate it, just like people who do or don't buy them I'd go on more than a magazine review if I was choosing a car
Absolutely, But I must say that after Seeing & Driving the car on its November launch with a view to placing an immediate order, I have never been left feeling so Dissapointed & Depressed after the test drive, when my expectations had been built up to expect so much More from a replacement ... not Less
Irony/saracsm eh? It is fab, I much prefer it in all ways, it feels closer to my classic than the S did at times on trip out on Sunday. I wouldn't swop back and I can't wait till it's run in
Since I'm no journo, is that better? anyway carry on as you were
To be fair its not really a review of the new car its Richard Porters Column as he is the man behind Sniff Petrol Sniff Petrol and much of Top Gear,s Sarcasm and mirth he went lightly really.
He does have a point with the Chinese Knock off bit though.
