What could be smaller than a MINI
The MINI's are already pretty MINI...

If the world didn't suck we'd all fall off!

Eeerm, unfortunately a few cars actually - for one example see the new Fiat 500 but there are a few more. Much though I love my MINI I've never shaken off the feeling it's a tad too big!

Personally rather than growing with each new model I think MINI could do with a seriously small version of the car to slot into the lineup - shame this story is apparently a load of nonsense really!

Also, if you compare the classic, to the first generation, to the second generation...

Ouch, that's really obvious - and I thought my MINI looked BIG next to my classic!

Yes...but with modern crah protection laws etc you'd never be able to build it that small again...
never mind squeezing in all teh equipment we now expect in cars (air con, abs etc etc)

And I at least fit in the new mini's...my 1st generation mini I had to buy a sports steering wheel for the day after I got it... I could not fit my knees in ottherwise !

Agreed but you can build modern small cars that have all of this and are smaller than the MINI, take the Peugeot 107 as an example, smaller than a MINI but still managing 4 NCAP stars IIRC.

Personally I think if you call a car a MINI it should, like the classic, be mini(ish) in comparison to contemporary cars, not just small(ish)...

based upon this image, it shows how much sleeker the 2nd Gen MINI is over the 1st Gen, which in turn was less boxy than the original.

the picture shows immense progress in the design. the icon, the redesign of the icon, and then the much more refined design of the redesign of the icon.
