Thumbs up Article - MINI appoints Dan Pulleyn to head up CHERISHED scheme

MINI appoints Dan Pulleyn to head up CHERISHED scheme

MINI UK is responding to increased demand for its used cars by appointing a dedicated Used Car Development Manager. Dan Pulleyn is the man charged with building recognition of the MINI CHERISHED brand and helping more UK motorists get behind the wheel of pre-loved MINIs.
Since October 2001, MINI CHERISHED has made owning a MINI more viable for those wanting the style and driver experience offered by all MINIs, but at a more competitive price. The CHERISHED programme offers significant benefits to customers, including minimum 12 month warranty and emergency service cover, as well as the renowned MINI TLC servicing package.

Popularity of used MINIs was underlined in October with the company passing the previous record of used MINIs sold in 2006, which stood at 23,746. Going into November, a total of 24,605 MINI CHERISHED sales were recorded in the year to date. The significant growth that the used car side of the business is undergoing is clear for all to see.

With the recent launch of an all-new range of MINI hatch models, loyal MINI buyers have been returning in droves to dealers across the UK to part-exchange their existing cars. As a result, MINI dealers are now able to offer a wider range of used stock at very attractive prices.

The reassurance provided by MINI’s high residual value is also not to be underestimated. Six years after its launch, the car still tops the residual value charts and as such makes ownership a sound financial prospect.

Following his appointment, Dan Pulleyn said: “Previous experience as a Regional Manager for MINI will be invaluable in working alongside MINI dealers to develop their CHERISHED strategies. Together we will help potential buyers understand that owning a MINI is a very realistic prospect. With a greater focus on used sales than ever before, MINI is set to become an even stronger force in the UK used car market.”
