Ok, so a while back 5th Gear put a One against a Fiat 500 with mixed responses about wether it was an even fight.

In the last episode of the series Tiff & Jason have a track fight which should be more evenly balanced. Should make for better TV than the last one as well!

Looking forward to it.

Should be close as they have a similar amount of power,but I wonder if the extra torque of the S works will make it slightly quicker around the Cadwell circuit as its hilly in places.

Do you know whether it is a factory works, or a kit works?

Guessing it will be the kit version as this came out a few weeks back so would tie in with filming times. Had a thought about the advert for it as well....the S was behind the Clio!!!

Shame it's not the r53 210 Works with SS+ and 17's.

Guess they've got to test current production cars though.

Evo put the Clio 197 F1 against the R56 Cooper S Works and they preferred the MINI.

This will be a good watch, hate to say it but my money's on the Clio

The r56 apparently is 100 Kg's lighter than that Clio Cup, that will more than make up for a couple of BHP. The r56 suspension is probably a little softer and rolly though (softer suspension to reduce turbo-torque steer).

Found this little clip on youtube and it looks like Russ Swift must be appearing on next weeks show as well.

Evo tested the Works and R27 Clio round the West track at Bedford and the Mini was almost a second quicker and out of all the hot hatches Evo has tested only the new S3 was faster and that was by less than half a second.

Disappointed..... once again they are rubbish! Why do they need to swap drivers? I'm sure Jason being a racing driver will be better that tiff at driving! they need the stig

I'm very dissapointed!!! Made the mini look crap, its more expensive and It was the JCW...and it could match the Clio!!

was stupid doing it with 2 drivers!!

TBH if I had the choice of both cars I'd go for the Clio Cup over the R56 MCS JCW.......................................best stick with my R53 MCS until I save up for my RS4

I had 2 of the R53 JCWs....and I honestly prefer the new car....even though my particular R56 spends more time at the dealer than with me...
