Hemce why the fuel filler is on the wrong side too....

But that's the correct side... if your british, and if BMW kept the Mini routes!
I'm sure Mini could get the airstream to work if they put their minds to it...

Nope, generally speaking (thought not always the case) cars have tended to have the filler cap on the kerb side of their country of origin. UK, Japanese cars tend to be on the left hand side, US, French etc on the right (from the perspective of inside/behind the car the car).

... and many if not all Cooper S cars had two tanks, and fillers on BOTH sides!
