MINI United 2011 - Postponed - MINI Cooper Forum

Hi Guys,

Just read on Facebook that MINI United 2011 has been postponed :-( :

"MINI UK - In 2009 you rocked 50 years of MINI in Silverstone - it was awesome - and really raised the bar. Because of this we are preparing MINI United at a whole new level, and need more prep time to go BIG. We're therefore sorry to say that MINI United 2011 will be postponed and will all go down in France, 2012. Thanks for your understanding."

Poor show, especially for anyone who had already started making arrangements!

Disappointing! Had just changed holidays, ferry and hotels booked, there has been too much indecision with 2011, it was definitely NOT happening in 2011 then "big announcement" it was ! now postponed to 2012, I think cash must be at the root of it and also money going into WRC. MINI need to give us firm dates and venue well in advance of 2012 to avoid a similar fiasco.

One other thought, maybe local clubs could still have a low key meet at Paul Ricard this year, same dates as the MINI Challenge Championship racing is on that weekend.
