"At first, we thought it was probably a regular version of the new Paceman that was revealed at last month's Paris Motor Show, but upon a closer look, we noticed the "Werkstestwagen" decal on the rear bumper, which is German for "Factory test car".
Soon after, a few more things captured our attention, including the diffuser on the rear bumper, the chunkier bodywork, the large twin exhaust pipes and the sculpted side skirts, all of which are not found on the most powerful version of the Paceman to date, the 181hp (184PS) Cooper S model.
This leads us to believe that what we're looking at here is most likely the upcoming John Cooper Works (JCW) model, which will come fitted with the same 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 208hp and 192 lb-ft (260Nm) as the Countryman JCW, connected to an all-wheel drive system and either a 6sp manual or 6sp automatic.
Elsewhere, the Paceman JCW should get a stiffer and lowered suspension together with a sportier trimmed interior."
An auto JCW, that might tempt me out of the Snowman!
