Go Mini Photo Shoot: :)

Good News.

I have just had a phone call from Chris at " Go Mini " Magazine explaining that he would like to feature my car in Go Mini. We have been trying to organise this for a few weeks now and it should be a feature done at Plant Oxford.

The shoot is on Wednesday 31st March so i hope it all goes well and i am quite looking forward to it now.

Harpo, i believe you have the chrome mirror caps! are they a pain to keep clean? i have them ordered on my cooper s due mid may. haven't seen many of them so i thought it would make the car a little unique, but i am now thinking about it as i would think they need constant polishing.

zeus75 - i know you asked Harpo, but i'm gonna answer anyway.
the chrome mirror caps are no harder to keep clean than the other chrome bits around the car. my car (see my gallery) gets a clean once a week and all they need is a normal shampoo & shamois leather and they look spotless again. there can occasionally be the odd splattered fly or smear, in which case it's better to use hot water.
there are products you can buy that will spruce them up extra shiny every now and then, but all in all it's not really a problem.

and the caps look REALLY great!!!

Due to a let down and unforseen circunstances the photo shoot has now been moved the 26th April. Still looking forward to it but the car is now looking better due to the Aero kit and other litle touches.

Well as you all know i had the shoot on the 26th.

I arrived at the location about an hour before Go Mini arrived ( just to clean it after travelling down ). the free lancer photographer arrived first then Richard from Go Mini.

The photographer first of all took close up pictures of the little things like the stickers, switches, headunit, pedals etc etc

Then i had a rolling mothin picture set, Had to follow Richard behind him close up an further away while the photographer hung out the boot and took pictures.

Got back, took some still pictures outside in the location of my choice. ( God this took some time )

Then the last set of pictures were drive by's. I drove by the photographer as he took pictures.

All in all it took about 5 -6 hours.

My feature should be aout about july - august edition, Was done at night as requested by Go Mini director.

Should be good, i enjoyed myself and i highly recomed it as it is an oppertunity that everyone should go through. It makes you feel so proud of your car and glad that you own a nice enough looking car for a car Mag to do a feature on it.
