I think it's a MINI advert....Automobile Mag May 04

In the May 04 issue of Automobile Magazine, there's an insert called "Men of Metal", billed as an excerpt from the book by Rowland Samuel.

It's pretty hilarious, basically it's a story set in Oxford that involves UFO sightings and such. With no apparent MINI markings, MINIs are featured throughout, especially an object removed from a train track, identified as a MINI tailpipe, based on its classic beer can shape (the picture's funny).

Check it out.....apologies if this has already been spotted....

Automobile Mag May '04 Geneva Auto Show notes

well, there's a blurb on the cabrio -- "Design commentary: Clumsy detailing, such as the awful top stack and the trunk hinges, is almost enough to convince you that this really is a British car. Isn't that going a little too far for spurious authenticity?"

Guess they weren't too keen on it...but I also chuckled at the A6 piece, "With the fine-driving but stylistically challenged BMW 5-series now carving up roads worldwide..."

Yup, MC/MCS is the Best small car.
