I just registered and thought I'd post a short bio:

Ex 1967 Austin Cooper S owner (stolen August 1972) ... current 1973 BMW 2002 tii driver ... CA resident with deposit down on new MINI Cooper S at out-of-state dealership.

Hello!

Nice to see another Classic Mini fan who is interested in the new MINI too!
I also co-run a pretty big classic mini site at www.mini-online.co.uk and most of the classic mini fans there are not too keen on the MINI.
I had been to the forum you mentioned before, I must add it to the links page!

The new MINI isn't a favorite on the MiniMania board either. I wish I still had my original Mini, but keeping one classic car (my 28 year old 2002 tii) on the road is all I can afford, so I'll have to be satisfied with the new MINI.
