Offline | MINI Loses Automobile Mag's All Stars... So, like the R&T awards http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80700, MINI doesn't get Automobile Mag's All Star award....Automobile of the year goes to the Chrysler 300C while the Mazda 3 gets Small Car and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR gets the Sport Sedan award. Like R&T, there's a humorous MINI story in the issue (Feb '05) that talks about future MINIs. Most we've seen, but there's one artist's rendering of a MINI Crossover SUV that's pretty wild....they list the MINI wagon, Traveller, Moke, and Speedster (pics of all). |

Offline | Mazda 3 as best small car? I guess if you combine affordability with some semblence of sport for the masses, then it wins. But what is the criteria? I thought R&T favored the enthusiast? If you have ever driven a Mazda 3, you will immediately sense how piggishly bloated that thing is (3500 lbs approx.) and how it bulls into corners. What gives???! ![]() ***BMW-AG Rocks!!!*** Portsmouth FC Can Thank Sunderland...What a Farce!!! |

Offline | Car of the Year for me is the Lotus Elise. Hands down. Unless it doesn't qualify for this year's running. That better be it. Mazda 3 beating out the Elise. Yeah right...sounds like payolla to me... ![]() ***BMW-AG Rocks!!!*** Portsmouth FC Can Thank Sunderland...What a Farce!!! |

Offline | I'll shake hands on that. I think the elise or the exige is fabulous. Not only is it so much like a toy car but it drives like a dream. And for the single men out there, this is definitely a babe magnet. *giggles* |
